Publish and pre-filter with the Gutenberg block
- Edit a WordPress page and insert Cliq Store Locator.
- Choose a saved Layout in the block placeholder.
- Open the block sidebar and expand Default filters.
- Configure any placement-specific defaults, then publish.
Default-filter controls
| Block control | Frontend behavior |
|---|---|
| Country | Matches the Store's saved country value |
| Category | Loads active Categories and seeds the selected numeric ID |
| Brand | Loads Brands and seeds the selected numeric ID |
| Search term | Prefills the keyword query |
| Custom field key | Custom-field machine key, such as service_mode |
| Custom field value | Requires an exact value match for that key |
| Results per page | Overrides the Layout page size; empty/0 uses the Layout setting |
For example, to show only Pizza Stores, select Pizza under Default filters → Category. Visitors can change that value only if the chosen Layout displays a Category-capable control.
For a custom-field placement, fill both Custom field key and Custom field value. Find the machine key under Store Locator → Custom Fields. Leaving either input empty disables the custom-field constraint.
The block also supports WordPress Wide and Full alignment. Actual inner columns, Map height, Store Card design, responsive widths, and filtering UI remain controlled by the saved Layout.
The block renders the same server callback as [cliq_store_locator]; it does not copy the Layout into the page. Editing that reusable Layout affects every block and shortcode that references it.
If a newly saved Layout, Category, or Brand is missing, save it, reload the page editor, select the block again, and reopen Default filters. Separate Lead form and Store registration blocks accept their respective form designs and cannot use a locator Layout.
To publish only a Search Form on a landing page, insert Cliq Store Search Form, choose the saved Search Form, and optionally override its Results page URL in the block sidebar. The destination page must contain a complete Locator Layout.
