Distance filter widget

The Distance filter writes the active radius used by the public Store search.

Controls​

  • Label: visible name, default Distance.
  • Control: Dropdown or Slider.
  • Unit: km or mi.
  • Default radius: initial selected radius.
  • Internal Min/Max/Step defaults: 5, 200, and 5 unless the design data specifies others.

Configure it​

  1. Open a Layout and add/select Distance filter.
  2. Choose Dropdown for discrete options or Slider for continuous adjustment by Step.
  3. Set the same unit expected by the rest of the locator.
  4. Set Default radius within the control's minimum/maximum.
  5. Save and test with a Location field or browser geolocation.

The filter cannot calculate “within 50 km” until latitude and longitude exist. It must retain the active coordinates when radius changes and retain radius when category/brand/sort changes.

This widget is separate from a Search-form field mapped to Distance / radius. Use one radius control in a given interface unless two synchronized presentations are intentional.
