Map widget settings
Select a Layout's Map widget. Its controls override or extend global Map settings for this Layout instance.
Keep the Map and Store List synchronized
When a Layout contains both a Map and Store List, selection works in both directions:
- selecting a Store Card activates and opens its marker;
- selecting a marker activates the matching Store Card and smoothly scrolls that card into view inside the Store List;
- using the Map's previous/next marker navigation arrows performs the same activation and Store List scrolling;
- an Accordion Store List opens the selected store, while a Grouped Accordion opens its containing group before scrolling.
Only stores currently rendered in the Store List can be scrolled to. A marker from the current result page has a matching card; stores on a later Load more page are not placed on the Map until that page has been loaded.
Map panel
- Height (px): 200–900, default 480.
- Default zoom: 1–18.
- Center latitude / longitude: initial center before a search/result fit.
- Ask for location on load: shows your confirmation prompt before browser permission.
- Approximate distance from IP: uses GeoJS once per browser session and sends the visitor IP to that service.
- Map type (Google): site default, Road map, Satellite, Hybrid, or Terrain.
- Map style (Google): site default, preset, or custom JSON.
When asking for location on load, configure Location prompt title, message, and button. This prompt is separate from the browser's own permission dialog.
Markers panel
Choose Marker type → Icon or HTML card.
In Icon mode, enable Override markers and choose one saved marker to replace Store, Category, and global icon assignments for this Map only.
In HTML card mode, Force marker design can replace Store, Category, and global HTML-marker design assignments. Leave it empty to use the resolution chain.
Select Marker popup (infobox design), marker-click animation, and optional previous/next marker controls. Navigation controls can be positioned and styled with their icons, colors, and background.
Search overlay
Enable Show search overlay, choose a Search form, then set horizontal position, distance from top, and maximum width. This is a Search form rendered over the Map, not a separate search implementation.
Clustering
Enable Cluster nearby markers, choose a Cluster style, and set Cluster color. Clusters group close coordinates at lower zooms. They do not merge Store records.
Global versus widget settings
An empty per-widget Map type, style, animation, marker, or infobox selector uses the corresponding site/default behavior. A non-empty widget override applies only to this Map instance.
