Assign a different marker to a store

Use a per-store marker when a location must be visually distinct from the global or category marker—for example, a flagship, warehouse, pickup point, or temporarily relocated branch.

Before you begin

Decide which marker system the locator's Map widget uses:

  • Icon markers use items managed under Store Locator → Markers.
  • HTML markers use dynamic Map marker designs created in the Builder.

An icon selection will not appear when the Map widget is configured for HTML markers, and an HTML marker design will not appear in icon-marker mode.

Assign an icon marker

  1. Go to Store Locator → Stores and edit the store.
  2. Open the Location section.
  3. Find Map Marker.
  4. Choose the required Icon Marker instead of the default marker.
  5. Save the store.
  6. Edit the locator under Store Locator → Builder.
  7. Select its Map widget and confirm Marker type uses icon markers.
  8. Save and test the public locator.

Assign an HTML marker design

  1. Go to Store Locator → Builder → New → Map marker.
  2. Build and save the small marker card.
  3. Edit the store and open Location → Map Marker.
  4. Select the design under HTML Marker Design.
  5. Save the store.
  6. In the locator's Map widget, set Marker type to HTML/card markers.

If the store still shows the global marker

Check whether the Map widget has Override markers enabled. A locator-level override intentionally replaces markers resolved from stores or categories. Disable the override when per-store assignments should win.
