Fill missing store coordinates

Stores need latitude and longitude for map markers, radius filtering, and distance sorting. Use Fill missing coordinates after an import or migration leaves some locations without coordinates.

Configure geocoding first

  1. Go to Store Locator → Settings → Map.
  2. Choose Nominatim or Google under Geocoder.
  3. If using Google, configure Google server key (geocoding) and enable the Geocoding API.
  4. Save settings.

Run the tool

  1. Go to Store Locator → Tools.
  2. Find the missing-coordinate/geocoding panel.
  3. Select Fill missing coordinates.
  4. Wait for the result notice before leaving the page.

Each run processes up to 50 stores. The result reports how many were processed, updated, failed, and remain. Run it again if the notice reports remaining stores.

Review failures

Do not repeatedly submit the same ambiguous addresses. Edit failed stores and check:

  • address line and city are complete;
  • state/region and postal code are in the correct fields;
  • country is present and unambiguous;
  • the provider key, quota, billing, and restrictions are valid;
  • the geocoder can identify the address as written.

After geocoding, open representative stores and confirm Pin Location is on the correct building—not merely the city center or postal-code center.
