Category tile Builder type

Create a Category tile at Store Locator → Builder → New → Category tile. Unlike Store Cards, the preview and renderer receive Category records, not Store records.

Category-specific dynamic values

The Store field selector is replaced by category tokens. These include category properties such as name, icon, store count, and color when supplied by the category payload. Store-only fields such as address, phone, distance, and opening hours do not belong in a Category tile.

Build the tile

  1. Add a row and column.
  2. Add a Store field element and select a category token such as category name.
  3. Add the category icon/count required by the design.
  4. Style the outer container, hover, and focus state.
  5. Use the category preview-record selector to test another category.
  6. Save the design.

Use it as a standalone Category filter grid

  1. Open a Layout.
  2. Select its Category filter widget.
  3. Set Display to Tiles.
  4. Select the Category tile under Tile design.
  5. Configure Min tile width, Row fill (Auto-fill or Auto-fit), and Gap between tiles.
  6. Ensure the same Layout contains a separate Store List widget. Clicking a tile filters that Store List; the tile grid does not render stores itself.

Tiles mode is flat and single-select. Selecting the active tile again clears it.

Use it for category drill-down

In the Store List widget, set Display to Categories → stores (drill-down) and select the tile design under Category tiles. Visitors see the category grid first. Selecting a category replaces it with that category's stores and a Back action.
