Customize the Open now and Closed badge

The Open now element shows a store's current state. It is different from the Opening Hours element, which prints the weekly schedule.

Add the status element​

  1. Go to Store Locator → Builder.
  2. Open a Store Card or Map infobox design.
  3. Add the Open now content element.
  4. Select it to open its settings.

Configure both states​

Set all four styles instead of relying on one shared color:

  • open label, for example Open now;
  • open text and background colors;
  • closed label, for example Closed;
  • closed text and background colors.

Keep the labels short enough for compact cards and translated sites. Do not communicate state by green/red color alone—the words must remain visible.

Make sure the status is correct​

The badge uses the store's saved weekly schedule and timezone. Edit the store under Store Locator → Stores, then verify:

  • Location contains the correct timezone;
  • Opening Hours marks genuinely closed days as closed;
  • 24-hour days use 24 Hours rather than a manual 00:00–00:00 interval;
  • split shifts have separate intervals;
  • overnight hours are represented correctly.

Save the store, clear relevant caches, and test once during an open interval and once outside it. For immediate testing, temporarily use a short interval around the current time, verify both states, then restore the real schedule.

To display the complete week instead, add the Opening Hours element.
