Map marker Builder type

A Map marker design is an HTML card anchored directly at each store coordinate. It is not an icon from the Marker library and it is not the popup infobox.

Create the marker design

  1. Go to Store Locator → Builder → New → Map marker.
  2. Build a compact design with Store fields such as name, price/rating, category, or status.
  3. Select the outer container.
  4. Enable the marker pointer Tail.
  5. Configure tail size and color so the tip lands visually on the coordinate.
  6. Test several preview Stores and save.

Keep the card small. Every visible store may create one HTML marker on the map, so large content quickly obscures neighboring locations.

Assign the design

An HTML marker can be resolved from:

  • a Store's Location → Map Marker → HTML Marker Design;
  • a Category marker-design assignment;
  • Settings → Map → Global HTML marker.

Enable it on the Layout

  1. Open the Layout and select the Map widget.
  2. Under Markers, set Marker type to HTML card.
  3. Leave Force marker design empty to resolve store/category/global assignments.
  4. Or select a design under Force marker design to use one HTML marker for every result on this Map instance.

A forced Map-widget design has precedence over per-store, category, and global HTML marker assignments.

Selecting an HTML marker can still open the Marker popup (infobox design). Configure the infobox independently.
